Aura Notes uses two Google Firebase services:
| Service | What it's for | What it collects |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Crashlytics | Alerts the developer when the app crashes, so bugs can be found and fixed | Crash stack traces, device model, OS version, app version, and an anonymous per-installation identifier |
| Firebase Analytics | Basic, aggregate usage statistics (e.g. how often the app is opened) | App interaction events, device/OS type, approximate country/region (derived from IP address, not precise location), and an anonymous per-installation identifier |
Both services are provided by Google and are industry-standard tools used by a large proportion of Android apps. Data collected through them is sent securely (encrypted in transit) to Google's servers and is governed by Firebase's own privacy and data processing terms.
All notes, titles, formatting preferences, and app settings are stored locally on your device only, using standard Android on-device storage. Note content is never transmitted to Firebase, to the developer, or to any other server.
Aura Notes lets you export a note as a text file, PDF, or image, and share it using Android's built-in share feature. When you use this feature, you choose the destination app (for example, an email app or messaging app), and Android hands the file directly to that app. This is a one-time action you control each time; Aura Notes itself does not retain, transmit, or have further access to the file afterward.
Firebase Analytics collection can be limited using your device's Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy, depending on your Android version) to opt out of ad personalization and reset your advertising identifier. If you'd like your Firebase-collected data deleted, contact the developer using the details below, and the associated Firebase records will be removed.
Aura Notes requests internet access (used only for Crashlytics and Analytics, described above). It does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or location permissions.
Aura Notes is not directed at children, and no note content is ever collected or transmitted. If you believe a child has provided data through Crashlytics/Analytics device information, contact the developer to request its removal.
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect that change.
